Summary: The study investigates the correlation between the height above sea level and the quantity of precipitation in the area of Mátra Hills. It points out that this correlation is closer in spring and autumn than in summer and winter. It determines the areas of Mátra Hills having orographically lack and orographically surplus of precipitation by the comparison of the quantities of the calculated and the measured precipitation.
